My pricing and fee structure is very straight-forward and depends on the work involved. As an hourly rate, my rate can vary between $99/hour and $150/hour, depending on whether it's a weekday or weekend, what we're working on and how complex it is. A flat-rate travel charge might apply depending on your location or circumstances. You can always give me a shout for an exact quote right over the phone!
To get started, we'll have a discussion about what problems you are having and how I can help resolve them for you - or perhaps you don't have problems but instead want help with implementing specific smart devices like blinds or outlets. Whatever your goal is, I'll work with you to help you get it accomplished. :-)
Tell me about your problem. I get a lot of phone calls from people who try to tell me what they think the solution to their problem is (let's be real: if you knew the solution, you wouldn't be calling me in the first place) - odds are, I know more about the technology than you do. Tell me about your problem and then allow me to propose solution(s) for you. :-) Have a goal in mind. It's really difficult for me to help you if you don't have an end goal in mind. Be Flexible. Some of my methods you might not understand at first, but as the strategy develops, you'll come to appreciate having me work with you at home, or as part of your office or business environment.
Being realistic about your goals is important. I've had people approach and ask to build an eBay.com clone for $500 - that just isn't realistic. So, I'd say make sure whatever you're intended to do matches the "CHEAP / GOOD / FAST" ideology. You can only choose two in most scenarios, and the one you don't choose becomes converse to the two that you do choose. For example: If you have no flexibility in terms of time, then by default, you've chosen "FAST". So that means you'll need to decide whether the quality (i.e. "GOOD") of the work you want done is more important than the cost (i.e. "CHEAP") of that work is. Most people and business owners in my experience, prefer to have GOOD and CHEAP, which consequently means the flexibility you'll need to have is in how long it takes to get what you want (i.e. converse of "FAST"). But the main thing I always tell my customers and clients is, if you prefer GOOD and FAST, keep in mind, it likely will not be CHEAP (converse). Hope that information helps, because I find it applies to many areas of life, not just business.
